In addition to neuter and release how about neuter put a collar with a

bell on it on the cat and then release? I have always been around cats, and I remember my mom putting a collar with a bell on our cat to keep it from killing birds.

You feed your feral cats don't you ?

Put a collar on and give the birds and the bees a break

Why do feral cats have priority over native wild animals ?

It's not nature that is so wrong. Humans brought cats here from Europe.

They are not natural to North America

Feral cats wouldn't have a chance if they were wearing bells! What else would they eat in the wild -- someone putting food out for them is not enough because they have to share that with other cats and other animals.
It is natural for wild and feral cats to eat birds, mice, and other small animals. It's nature.
