my car was vandalized while at a repair shop overnight. Are they liable for it?

The thief broke into my gas system and syphoned all my gas. Now my car is leaking fuel when i went to fill it up. At the shop, I had a new fuel pump installed and a fuel system clean. Are they liable for the repairs for the vandalizism?

no usually they aren't they all usually have signs up saying not responsible for damaged or theft to vehicles, but id ask them and see, chances are they might repair it for you, most will if it happens on their lot,but they cant get insurance to cover other peoples cars most of the time, and when they do find insurance to cover this its so expensive they cant afford to buy it,good luck with it.

depends, a lot of repair shops have a waiver you sign stating that " they are not responsible for any damage done from third parties". Read the fine print, if you signed nothing then they should be picking up the check. Best of luck.
