2001 Dodge Stratus Car Audio problem?

The radio/tape player in my car is failing. Usually when I start my car, the radio works. After a while, it quits working randomly. When it quits working, the LED on the radio/tape player is flashing, the switch or volume control on the radio no longer work. I have to shut down the car to turn off the radio.
My guess is something inside the radio/tape player is wrong. But is it possible the problem is caused by the radio power supply circuit of the car? How can I check it?

    Thanks

I have the same car as you. And i sorry to tell you but you need a new radio. I had a similar problem. I jus went on ahead and replaced it. Most likely you have a short.
