High to low level converters for home theater?

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a decent brand/model of some high to signal level converters for home theater?

Also, is there a noticeable decay in sound quality?
I am really looking to do this so I can power my front two mains better, and there is no line out on my receiver.

I may just have to buy a new one...I am looking to buy a nice stereo tube amp, and I think that might be a waste if I use the high to low converter

most home theater subs are pre equipped with a built in amp, and offers both high level in/out as well as low level in/out. i never heard of a seperate converter? crossover? or whatever it's called that you can purcase seperate. why would you want to convert it anyways? for a seperate amp? if you don't have a high level jack on your amp, i suggest buying a quality amp. good luck
