What would you recommend for a rugged street legal dirt bike that can

Ive had a xr-400 for years. Depending on your tire it kicks ass on the asphalt and is planty ballsy in the dirt. I hang with motocross dudes in the dirt, then i get to ride it home while they load up. With the plastic tank you can drop it and it doesnt matter. As far as 2-up remember NO FAT CHICKS!!!

handle desert heat? I have a 4x4, but I want to get into some ridiculously remote areas with a dirt bike that can be comfortable on the street. It must be 4-stroke and be good on gas. I want it to be light, so nothing over 650cc and be able to handle a 2-up load and some survival gear as well.
Any suggestions?

Most likely a Honda 250.... It is one of the best for a street leagal....
