im 13 and really want a motorcycle and people say i need to learn on something smaller and i already picked one out to buy but i need to know this!!!

On a public roadway ? Yes, you sure do.....with the proper endorsement. 150cc and lower (class "L")....151cc and higher (class "M"). It also needs registration & insurance. You are 13, so it will be a few yrs till you can even get a license.....I hope you have private property to ride on until then.

No licence is need but you cannot drive on any public roads.

Nope, because they are not street legal for any riders, just "dirt", hense the name DIRT BIKE. OR MX.

no, you can't drive it on the road anyways, and you only need a license to drive on the road
