Im looking for free software for mac that can crop a music file. I only want a certain section of a podcast and would like to remove the rest, anyone have any ideas what I can use?

A podcast is a podcast, NOT a music file - totally different format, TTBOMK (don't have any on here, so I can't check).
I know of software to crop MP3s, but podcasts aren't MP3s so I can't help you. Have a look on <www.versiontracker.com> or <www.macupdate.com> and see if you can find anything...
