OK. Sketchy info here, but maybe someone can help. There is an episode of Laverne and Shirley where Shirley says something to Laverne. It's a short, maybe 5 word sentence. Laverne then proceeds to eliminate one word at a time from what Shirley's said, arguing that each word is really not necessary -- along the lines of "you" not being necessary because she is the only other person in the room. But it goes much further than that until I think they're left with just a grunt or something. It's really funny. Does anyone remember any more about this scene or what episode it might be?
