Tried to watch a video online (is this called a playback video? I am not technologically savvy!) and my Mac OS X told me I needed to watch it using DivX, which I then downloaded.
How do I make the online video work with my DivX application?

I suggest downloading Perian, this app lets divx to play in Quicktime.
I also suggest Divx web player to play divx with Safari
