Islam is not a race. Its a religion. Anyone of any color can be a Muslim.
People have no clue what racism is.
Imagine how silly it would be to scream racism when someone makes fun of Christianity or Catholics.

Why do people scream Racism when you say something about Muslims?

It's because of the mental illness called "Political Correctness" that has caused far more hate and resentment then racism alone ever has. Take what is going on in England, you now have Christian leaders apologizing to Muslims for being a "Christian" in what they say will create Muslim Christian unity. Any Christian who feels a need to apologize to a Muslim for being a Christian and has to cower to Muslims for so called Unity is planting the seeds to their own demise especially when Muslims are seen as not having to apologize for anything when we all know they do, for the past and present.

What's going on in England with regards to Muslims is what one does when they are afraid, they cower and look to appease instead of standing up for themselves and fight back. Liberals would rather burn down their entire civilization then to be accused of racism and this why Muslims can say and do what they please in Europe while non Muslims will be arrested for in sighting racial hatred.
