my country is not of those who are on the iphone 3G list,

I asked a friend to buy me one from the US, he is an AT&T subscriber and not interested in having an iphone , the problem is that the 3G iphone should be activated in store , is that a problem if i want to unlock it later (when unlocking is available )

Thanks

No it will not be a problem. But in order to use it with a different country's sim card you need to unlock it. To unlock, I suggest you can approach unBBlock.com and specify the country, locked network of iPhone 3G. Based on the availability you can get the permanent unlock service along with free instructions.
