Iphone 3g help!?

I have a question about the new iphone 3g. I already own a rogers phone with a sim card on the battery pack, does this mean I can take the SIM card out of my old phone, put it on the iphone and use the exact same monthly payment? Also by doing this, can I use the internet and GPS on my I-phone, or will I have to get a new plan to access those features? I know this sounds confusing and i dont really know much about phones, but please answer honestly and i will give u best answer!!

You can keep the same minutes plan and stuff but if you dont have internet you will have to purchase the data plan hope this helps good luck!
