whats your opinion on the wii compared to other consoles?

my thoughts: im not a sony or microsoft fanboy, but i just dnt see the reason why the wii sold so much. the graphics suck compared to ps3 and 360. most of their games are like gamecube. doesnt play DVD, blue-ray like ps3 and 360. so why do so many people like it? and whats your opinion on it?

the wii was built for kids. 5-10 year olds don't care so much about the awsome, cool, amazing graphics. people are also stunned by the creativity that allows people to interact further with their games. nintendo knows how to make the majority of the people that buy these are the kids or are for the kids. adults and parents want to please the kids so they get them the wii. also, most of the games for the wii aren't as violent, giving them a wider range of games to choose from.

I always thought the wii was a ripoff. But I got to hand it to their virtual console library.

Wii is like light hearted family/party fun. PS3/Xbox more of a higher quality experience in games.
