How do i buy songs for my zune on the zune marketplace?

Ok i just bought a zune and i am trying to put songs on it..someone stole my ipod so i have itunes & it seems alot more simple. I dont understand how you get money onto the zune marketplace. I know you have to buy cards for itunes or use a credit card..so HOW DO I GET MONEY ON MY ZUNE MARKETPLACE to buy songs with?? I know you can 'rip' songs but i have no idea what that is or how to do that!? So i definitely could use some help PLEASE! any answers are helpful!
