Most frequently, by conducting trials. Remember that the executive branch includes cops and prosecutors. Thus a cop of FBI agent will gather evidence. The prosecutor will seek to introduce it and the judge will rule. There are others, of course, such as judicial review and resolving suits brought against the executive, but the most frequent is just be conducting trials.
The Executive Branch checks on the Judicial Branch by making sure that the president appoints the Supreme Court judges

the judicial branch can declare acts of the executive or legislative branch "unconstitutional" (making them non valid). its the judicial branches job to make sure our rights established in the constitution and the amendments aren't infringed upon by the other branches of government.
all of u are fuckin stupid fucken bitches
u r a fuckin stupid fucken bitch
So your question is how does the judicial branch check the executive branch
"* Determines which jurisdiction any given case falls under
* Judges when a law is unconstitutional
* Has the responsibility to administer Constitutional law and to apply it to constitutional disputes
* Determines the disposition of prisoners
* May legally compel testimony and the production of evidence as the law provides.
* Judges and competently administers uniform policies via the appeals process, but gives discretion in individual cases to low-level judges. (The amount of discretion depends upon the standard of review, determined by the type of case in question.)
* Oversees and administers members of the judiciary
* Is subject to impeachment by Congress"
you coulda just googled it
