How do I become a Citizen of the European Union?

If I become a citizen of the United Kingdom or France, do I automatically become a citizen of the European Union as well, or do I gain citizenship by other means?

U won't be the citizen of the European Union, It's ur country which will be it's member. However it 's a different thing that u can have the full facility of travelling from one country to another like other people from the countries which are the members of the European Union.
So my friend u won't get any certificate or citizenship that tells u that u r a citizen of European Union.
