Got overpaid. To tell or not to tell..? lol?

I got overpaid on a contract check. I quit two weeks ago. They either added an extra digit or thought I hadn't been paid for my whole time there, which I was. Either way, I got 00 more than expected. I can be UPSTANDING and send it back. Or, I can deposit, let it sit for a while and wait to see what happens for a bit. lmao

Keep it but don't spend it yet. If they contact you about it, pretend you hadn't noticed and then pay it back if requested.

The company I work for has a policy that if they overpay you, they can't make you pay it back. It's not your fault if someone couldn't do their job right, and after all, it's not like you stole it!

If you got it from the government, you need to give it back. No one is better than the US government at recouping funds.
