dog chases cat off my bed...?

Hi, got a question concerning the family dog and my cat...

My bedroom is 100% my cat's territory. She sleeps with me every night, but I keep my door open so she can run around and do cat things (and litterbox is downstairs) and also have the option of visiting with me.

The problem is that the person the dog usually sleeps with has moved out and I'm pretty sure she's suffering seperation anxiety, so she'll pop into my room and force herself onto my bed, chasing the cat off of it. If the cat tries coming back in she'll lunge at her. I've kicked the dog out several times, and disciplined her for being so aggressive with my poor cat. I've tried locking her out but then my cat will go bananas in my room, and the dog will whine at my door all night, wanting to sleep with me.

I don't know what to do, I've been rudely awaken many times during the night with them scrapping and all the yowling.

Why not try putting a barrier up somewhere in the house so the dog can't get out at night. It will get better with time, we have a dog and cats, but getting mad at the dog isn't going to do any good, chances are the dog thinks they are playing.
