Does Verizon Wireless conduct a pre-employment credit check?

I know they conduct a drug test and background check but does that include credit? I was offered a position with them as a retail consultant but my credit isn't too great and I'm afraid they won't hire me because of it. Also, does anyone know how long the process takes? I don't want to put in my notice with my current job then find out I don't have the job with Verizon next week.
