USB's on external monitor not synching with my ipod or blackberry?

I tried synching my ipod and blackberry with the usb's on my external monitor and no luck. The blackberry indicated I was charging but no synching. The ipod did nothing but light up, no charge or synch. I use NVIDIA control panel program to synch my external monitor with my laptop and that works fine.

don't use the monitor usb...try direct connect to the computer.
If a direct connect works then your monitor USB is really a power port and not sync's with windows or mac..whatever youre using.
