Americans get great gas mileage. Why all the complaining!?

I am an American. The average American walks about 900 miles per year. Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud to be an American, doesn't it?

Unfortunatly, we American's think that we should have the newest, best, greatest anything at the lowest prices. A lot of Americans believe this is a birth right. We are SPOILED. Then there are those people who if they can find something to complain about, they are on a subconcious level are happy. Plus alot of American's believe, myself included, that we already have the know-how to get 100 mpg on our cars, but the oil companies have bought the inventors off. $ talks.
