Our home radios have a high pitched whine.?

We recently had a wireless router installed and at about the same time the wiring for an outlet was moved, if either of these could be the problem. It only happens on local stations. Stations that are miles away are fine. My husband thinks this is because they have a stronger signal. I tried looking for an answer on the Internet, but all of the sites related to car radios. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

interferrence in the car is the same as in the home.

You need to go around the house and unplug things while listening to the radio.

The router COULD be the problem, but so are touch lamps (bad - worst - offenders!)

Once you find the offending item, you will need to filter that item. You can buy "split core RF filters" from Radio sHaft or www.partsexpress.com. You open the plastic housing, wrap a loop of the AC cord around the core, then close the core. This NORMALLY will fix the problem.

You can email the experts at [email protected] for tips.
