My mom is constantly complaining about my style?!?

I wear skinny jeans and band tees as well as tank tops and denim skirts. She is so girly and she wants me to be the exact same! She constantly complains about my clothes my makeup and my hair! She really is getting on my nerves because she brings it up like twice a day! What can I do to convince her that this is me and she'll just have to deal with it?

She says, "Oh that is too punky and emo!" I don't want to be rude but it's my style and my life. She was a very preppy, prom queen, cheerleader type in her high school days. If I wear black eyeliner she kind of gives me this look like..."WOH WOH that is way too much makeup!" But really it's mascara and eyeliner! COME ON! Sometimes I just feel like she is so judgemental!

Well, you're in a difficult position b/c she's your mom and an elder so you have to respect her no matter what but just casually mention to her that it hurts your feelings and that you like the way she dresses but it's just not your style but it could possibly be one day
