I do not know how to operate my web cam (my first one) please help me?

I need to know how to use my web cam and chat with someone from another screen on msn please help me I have a windows vista and the web cam is a MI BASIC WEB CAM I just got it a couple of days ago I have already installed the software and everything please help me I would appreciate it thank you
