Are you ever screamed at in your job?

Some of my friends who work on Wall Street are in really crazy environments. Their bosses have anger management issues and scream and yell at them on a regular basis. It seems like that is the culture at these companies and if you do not like it you have to move on.

What do you think about being yelled at by your boss at work. What would happen if your boss yelled and screamed at you in public. Would you quit or take it, or yell back?

I've had a few winners in my time. Doctors are the worst to work for. I worked as an Office Manager for two Internal Medicine doctors once (both women) one of them was really mental. She had to go into the samples room to get samples for a patient once and came out yelling (in front of patients, employees, everyone) "why am I doing this? This is a job for the little people!"

One of my co-workers quit because the manager started yelling at her in the middle of the place and she was embarrassed. I wouldn't say anything back only because if I get fired I don't want it to be because I cussed out my boss it may make things harder when trying to find someplace new. It really depends on what was being said.

I don't think my boss ever yells! not even at home but if she did I would probably take it and then run to the bethroom to cry. I am a big wimp and hate being yelled at. I cry when I am mad.
