How can i transfer/share files from my computer to laptop and vice-versa?

I have one internet connection and its modem is connected via Lan in laptop and USB in computer.
Please tell me the procedure to transfer/share files within them altogether....
please help me! also give any further suggestions that i can use it to share/transfer...

Use a usb memory pen and save files from one computer and then open them on the other.
