How is this magic trick done?

This may seem like a stupid question and maybe I'm being completely dense but I've always wondered how the magic trick is done where a person is cut in half. It's probably really obvious to most people but it leaves me stumped every time I see it. So if somebody could explain how it is done to me I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance.

erm...no idea but there will deffinatley be a scientific explenation for it, its just not possible! i mean...there'd be blood and guts everywhere right?
