A captain is sailing through the arctic. The first mate runs up and says to him, "captain, there is an iceberg dead ahead. What should we do?" The captain looks at the iceberg, then glances at his map and says, "there's no iceberg here! Keep going!"

Does the captain believe in God or does he not?
Is it like the whole "you have two ropes. one has been proven and the other you just heard has be proven which one would you climb the mountain with" kind of thing?

I'm am atheist by the way. Nothing against you Christian's out there it's just not for me. I just need to know if i'm understanding it right.
I don't want opinions I want facts from I guess non-christians because they see it different from the way I see it apparently..
