Global politics dude above!
He opposed the Iraq war and did not get Canada involved. This had a big impact, because it decreased the size of the "coalition of the willing" significantly and allowed US war critics to point out that even traditional allies like Canada (which tends to be a more reliable US ally than, say, France) did not agree with the reason for the invasion. This was his biggest impact -research it further online.
