I don't get it, guys like Cena and Hardy would be on Sunday night heat a few years ago. Is this how bad the WWE has gotten?

Both guys have proved themselves to be big merchandise sellers and both guys get bigger reactions (whether its positive or negative) than they ever did a few years ago, so thats the reason for the push. If you draw money like they do and get a reaction from fans, chances are if you dont have any heat backstage, you are going to get a push
