I'm looking to get this phone (wine on black). I'm currently on O2 and want to keep it that way, but the cheapest I can find the phone is in 3. I went in the 3 store today, hoping to buy it and then get it unlocked, but was told that once unlocked, the warranty would be invalid.

I've found it on play.com ( http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/-/530/687/-/5314200/Sony-Ericsson-K660i-Sim-Free-Unlocked-Mobile-Phone/Product.html?searchtype=genre ) for £159.99 - a lot more expensive considering it was £110 on 3. However, it is sim free so would not need to be unlocked. But I have a few questions..

Is this 'invalid warranty' thing only applicable to some networks? Is that something they choose to do to make you stay on their network?

If it is already unlocked, will it be under warranty? Who from?

When buying from play, does it come in the standard box ie with charger, or do I need to buy a charger too?

Do you know of anywhere I can get it cheaper, preferably sim-free?

Thanks
