Why does everyone choose to argue with me?

I don't know why, but everyone seems to love a good argument with me. I don't mind a good debate but after awhile it just gets tiring! I can't even talk in a group or post a status - even over a football game - on my facebook fall without five or six people arguing over what I wrote. Maybe its the way I state my opinion. And I know for a fact that I can't be too stupid because I graduated this year as valedictorian in my highschool class. Like I said, I really don't mind it. It's just tiring and I feel that I have better things to do. Am I alone with this issue?

Deep down you probably enjoy it that is why you argue with people and people argue with you.

its because you are smart and people see that as a threat. you have to be more cunning in the way you portray your idea's. make them think they worked it out. then just agree. ignor the above. they are the nobs im talking about.
Also, people are always right!!!! so dont worry about proving yourself/knowledge to them...the know better..they always will...its a survival mechanism.
