I'm Canadian. Any disadvantage to purchasing iPhone in the States and

waiting for Rogers iPhone plan? Just wondering if this is a good idea or if I should wait.
Anyone know the date for it's release into Canada? I am looking to just listen to music and watch videos until plan from Rogers comes out. If not, than I will just buy the touch and wait for the BlackBerry. Any ideas/thoughts/hints?
