HP Laptop problem.. NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS INSTALLED?

I have an HP pavilion dv6226us laptop, last night for some reason my audio was not working normally so i started "checking" things out and im not sure what i did but apparently i screwed myself! I have NO AUDIO!! when i click audio icon a bubble appears saying 'NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS INSTALLED...

What did I do? can i do to get my audio back??

.. select ur operating system and find an audio driver and download it ..

Try re-installing the audio drivers from HP. Here's the link to get you started.
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

Simply type in your model number, and select the Operating Sysem and that should get you to the drivers for you Laptop.
