Okay, so let me explain. I was trying to hook up to a wired connection, so I plugged the ethernet cable into the correct spot on my laptop. I refreshed the network manager again and again, but it would not recognize it. So I created my own wired network in the wizard. However, this did not work either. Even worse, it created a nonexistent connection. Now, when I am using wifi, it will pop up a dialog box prompting me to connect to the nonoperational wired connection. This is irritating, but even worse, it STOPS MY WIFI CONNECTION FROM WORKING. This is not simply irritating; it is completely unacceptable. I tried a system restore, but it couldn't restore back far enough in time to erase it.
Help me! I'm at wits end here, and it was hard enough getting a long enough connection to even ask this question: How do I kill this connection so it never shows up again and I can use my wifi network with no interruption?
