How do I save clips from a torrent without it showing up with sound, but no picture?

I downloaded a torrent and it works fine in windows movie maker and windows media player (the latest). I want to save parts of it as clips, so I take the clips I want, save them and then when I watch the clips in windows media player or upload (and watch) them on youtube, there's no picture, just sound.
