Would you say that Hollywood Cinema has taken a new approach to Nationalism

after 9/11? To your opinion, do you feel like Hollywood has tried to praise/criticise Americanism more/less in their post-9/11 movies than it was before?

    This is a serious study.
Your contribution is therefore much appreciated, thank you.

thank you so much. your answers are great so far. please give details

We discussed this in my Contemporary American Film class last week. For the most part, the class came to the conclusion that as a general statement, yes, Hollywood has taken a new approach to Nationalism (but that there are always exceptions).

Hollywood has always overplayed what America has done. So many films over the years have suggested that America won World War Two single-handed. It has also been used as a propaganda medium for "the American Way", witness the number of actors, directors and writers who were put out of work during the Macarthy era.
