Whenever I put in the new ram that I bought, it causes my system not to boot up and make a beeping noise. It makes the same noise when I try to boot up with my memory removed. Right now I have 512 mb of ram via 2 256k cards. I want to upgrade to 1g to I bought a 1g. I made sure everything matched, but no matter what I do it wont boot up. Here is some more information from crucial.com
Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-4200,DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*
*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory.
The ram i bought was a kingston 1gb ddr2 PC2-5300 667mhz
Please any help is appreciated.
