I need to record a phone call, what is the least expensive way to do this?

Would a tape recorder work? I have speaker phone but not an answering machine the plays aloud. This is for a land line telephone.

A tape recorder with mic would work. Place the mic at the ear piece on the phone.

A cheap digital audio recorder would work too.

So would a computer with mic, just use sound recorder under Start - programs - accessories - entertainment. Make sure your mic is on under advanced volume controls.
