itunes problem?

I just downloaded itunes, and it imported all the music saved on my computer. One little problem... why is it that almost all the songs are repeated? Like there are 2 or more copies of a song. i know i can just delete them, but why is this?

it happens to me too. just delete the songs and suck it up.

It means you have multiple copies of the songs on your computer. The files shown on itunes are only links to the actual files, so if you right click on a duplicated song and go to 'show in windows explorer' it will take you to the actual file. If you were to repeat this with the other copy it should show you a different copy somewhere else on your computer. When you delete the file make sure you delete it not only from itunes, but from your hardrive, you should get this option while deleting.
