imei numbers?

i want to unlock my daughters mobile phone which is a sagem my300c on the vodafone network i found a person on ebay that can unlock it for £10 which is reasonable (they will e-mail me the number i need ) but they are asking me to send imei number and model number before they can confirm they can do this.im a bit worried about giving this out is it safe ???
 
yes they have to have the imei numner to unlock the handset, vodafone are now unlocking them free of charge so if they try and charge you it may only be free for pay monthly customers, but yeah they need ur imei numner which you can get by dialing *#06#

RING VODAFONE, DONT DO IT OVER THE INTERNET OR ON EBAY! THEY MIGHT GIVR YOU WRONG INFORMATION AND THE HANDSET MAY GET LOCKED RING 191 OFF THE VODAFONE PHONE, WRITE THE IMEI NUMER ON PAPER SO YOU CAN GIVE IT TO THEM!
