Will a cingular/at&t phone work with T-mobile service?

No they are on different frequencies that causes communication problems.

Only if it has been unlocked. If you dont know how to do that, or cant for some reason, then no, it wont work.

This is a difficult question to give you a good answer because it depends on some things.

What models of phones are we talking about? For some phones all that is needed is to have the SIM card changed.

For others it requires the internal software of the phone to be changed. This is called being "flashed."

Different carriers have different features also and some phones do not support all features. So even if you did it and your phone worked it may not support all the other features of the other carrier.

That is why it is easier to just get the phone from the carrier, in most cases.

You can insert other network sim card like T-mobile sim in your Motorola Razr,if it accepts the sim card it is an unlocked phone.Otherwise it asks for an unlock code or displays invalid sim card message it is locked phone.You need to unlock it.Visit the site Unlock-Zone.com and get unlock code for Motorola Razr and unlock it easily from AT&T or cingular network lock.
