Andrew knows - stay away from laptops unless you absolutely must have one for the portability and beware, they also have a lot more problems - are much more prone to being damaged, dropped, etc...

it all depends. most of the time desktops outperform laptops. Desktops have much more cooling space than a laptop. if you want to game get a desktop with at least a dual core processor and 2gb of RAM. Also it is much cheaper to buy a gaming dedktop than a laptop that can handle some games. like a $400 difference.

depends on how much free R.A.M. you have as well as booting settings,how many programs loading with windows at boot time,ect.
