Why don't mobile phones have an "ignore" option?

I am thinking about an ignore option similar to Instant Messaging programs where you can choose to ignore someoen that bugs you.

Most mobile phones do, but if the person calls anonymous you miss all anonymous calls if you choose ignore. Get a new sim card.

I NEED it so bad. I have a guy calling me for 8 months, sending SMS ALL the time etc. I called cops on him, but he is sending it from GO card, so it is impossible to trace him..man, it would be so awesome. BTW. I never met that guy and i donīt know who is he. But, he knows great deal about MY family. I changed THREE times my phone number to no avail...ugh, it is bad. I hope, they will do it soon.
    EDIT
To hoona. I do have one of the last MOTOROLA, but, it does not work on SMS and MMS. I cannot slam it because i need Blue Tooh option, plus i use it as extra memory storage.

My motorolla does. When you flip it open it you can see who is calling and press ignore if you dont want to talk to that person. Very handy!!

I use an old Samsung flip phone and mine has this option. The only thing is, I have to turn off the "answer upon opening" option off and answer by clicking the key instead.

Or do you mean a "blocking caller" option?

    You can block callers.

Talk to you provider they will tell you how with your model.

    Good Luck.

(Most Phones have an ignore option I assume you don't want them calling you at all)
