how much does a text cost on sprint if you dont have a texting plan?

or does it just take up minutes?
if it just takes up minutes, how much minutes does it take?
does it cost money to recieve texts or only to send them?

Its 20cents each text and no it does not take up minutes, totally different bucket

i have sprint.
i know for sure that text DOES NOT take up minutes.
they make it as fees and stuff.
i have a text plan ($5 extra for 300 text/month).
but i got over 12 texts last time.
and dude, i had to pay $4 to $7 as fees.
get a texting plan!!
fees in sprint are SOO expensive.
i get like $5 extra fees for going on 'internet' or whatever on accident. it totally stinks!

but i DO have a text plan thingy...
so i dont know FORSHURRE how much.
but i think its a lot.
so yeah.
