can a computer logged into a domain access shared files on another computer...

...that is just part of a workgroup? I have small domain I run at home with one server and one client.
My parents have another computer thats not part of the domain and is just a separate workgroup. Is it possible for me to access the shared folders on my parents workgroup computer from my client computer while it is logged into the domain, and if so how?

Make sure their domain name is the same as the rest of your network, MSHOME or whatever, then:

Right click a folder >> sharing and security, and tick "share this folder on the network" to share files folders.

If the option is "grayed out" then it means a folder below this one cannot be shared, usually happens in My Documents.
