Land Rover Opens new Vermont Driving School
Not a fan of the Bob Bondurant or Skip Barber driving schools?
Land Rover and The Equinox resort, located in Manchester Village, VT, have teamed up to offer an exclusive Land Rover Experience Driving School as a new year-round entertainment option.
Using Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Land Rover LR3 and Land Rover LR2 vehicles, resort guests can receive off-road driving instruction in the spring, summer and fall as well as snow and ice training during winter. By participating in the Land Rover school, drivers will learn how to properly navigate ascents, descents, side-tilts and rocky terrain on an 80-acre purpose-built course. Session difficulty degrees range from introductory- to advanced-lessons on an extensive Green Mountains' trail system, and can be customized to fit individual skills and interests.
But while adults have fun driving real Land Rovers, Equinox doesn't forget future off-roaders.
Children ages 5- to 12-years-old can get behind the wheel of a miniature, electric Land Rover. Once buckled in, they can maneuver through a customized Junior Off-Road jungle course that teaches hand-eye coordination and off-road driving techniques similar to Equinox's adult school. However, all mini-Land Rovers will have limited speeds and an instant shut-off safety feature.
Land Rover also offers similar Experience Driving Schools at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley, CA, and the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello, near Montreal.
