How do you permanently delete items in the Itunes Download queue?

I purchased a TV show season on itunes, and now i just want to delete it from the download queue because it is really backing up my computer. Ive tried just opening the download queue and removing them but since that doesn't permanently delete them, its become a pain in my butt every time I open itunes to download something. the files are very large and I usually have to restart my computer because it freezes. i cant seem to find a way to permanently remove them so they just go away completely and never try to download again. I don't care about the money i lost out on this at all, i just want it to stop clogging up itunes when im trying to download something i actually do want.
