I have to write one of those "i am" poems. I have most of my lines ready, but I still need ideas for: I say___ and I touch ______

[golden-hope]

I say things before I think.
I say what I mean.
I say the world is getting closer every day.
I say insecurity gets you nowhere.

I touch the keys of my keyboard and the edges of paper.
I touch the rim of the hoop as I reach for the sky.
I touch the future and reach for my dreams.
I touch the soft lips of my beloved.

I touch your heart.

Your assignment reminds me of the very moving aria from La Boheme, which I recently viewed as Pavarotti lay dying. One part of Che gelida manina, paraphrased, says "I want to tell you who I am, what I do, and how I live. Who am I? A poet. What do I do? I write. How do I live? I live! In poverty I'm cheerful, I am a prince who freely spends his verses, and as for hopes and dreams of love and castles-in-the-air, I have the soul of a millionaire!"
