"buy here pay here" car lot full coverage?

if you buy a car from a lot like that and do a payment plan, do you still need full coverage?

Yes. They want to make sure they get something when or if the car is wrecked.My friend went and got full coverage on the car he bought from a place like that, showed them the paperwork and when it came time to renew insurance he only got liability. He hasnt been caught yet.
